Breath Meditation
This is the foundation course of Jai Meditation. All human beings breathe irrespective of what language they speak or what belief system they follow. So anyone can focus on the breath and do a meditation for sometime in a day. Air is the most essential thing for survival and one can understand the importance of the breath meditation. Increased breathing is the common activity in any workout – may be it is the exercise, jogging, walking, cycling, the aerobics, asanas or any other workout. Just do that increased breathing sitting in a place, through breath Meditation.
Our breathing goes on whether we face east or west. Breathing goes on as well, before taking bath or after taking bath. We breathe inside the house or outside the office. So you can see that our breathing goes on irrespective of the place, the time, the state, the direction, etc. So breath meditation can be practiced at any time, in any direction, in any condition, at any location, etc.
This path is of great freedom and so there are no restrictions in these things. All you have to do is to value your desire to meditate and move on the journey. After about eight weeks one is eligible to move further.
Advanced Meditation
At this stage you start using a set of three syllables (Mantra) which has no meaning. This has to be kept confidential and not to be passed on to others. You repeat these three syllables within your mind and there is no need to say it loudly. Since the mind has to be one pointed, there is no meaning to the syllables. Otherwise, the mind will try to switch between the pronunciation of the syllables and the meaning of the syllables, thereby affecting the one-pointedness.
You do breath meditation for 10 minutes and then the meditation on syllables for another 10 minutes, twice a day. If one has practiced, for about 12 months, the individual becomes ready for moving to the third stage.
Personal Meditation
This stage takes you to prepare yourself further to receiving of Light and Sound. This is an important stage of the journey. You are expected to be communicating with whoever guides you. In this meditation, you use three or four syllables selected specially for you from a group of such a set of syllables.
Once you practice for about 12 months, you become eligible to move on to the fourth stage. The individual is strictly required to adhere to the requirements of no entertainment drugs, no alcohol, no tobacco and being vegetarian.
Initiation
Initiation is normally understood as beginning. But here, it is defined as, “being allowed to unravel the mystery of creation”. In this stage, the individual is revealed the Light and Sound and there is a great expansion of consciousness for him/her. The Light and Sound is the first form of the Ultimate Reality or Self which has no surface, no edge or no form of any kind. At this stage the individual is called an Initiate and has got access to higher level of energy that is Light and Sound.
The individual can carry on his/her normal daily routine and still find time to meditate longer. The light and sound is not created by the mind and so it is beyond the mind. This is the greatest tool a human being can ever have on earth to meditate.
Second Initiation
When the individual is desirous of moving ahead and is having a good understanding of the Path and philosophy and devotes time to elevate fellow human beings spiritually, he/he is ready to receive the Grace to go through this stage. The individual meditates and moves on to go beyond mind and comes out of death. This meditation session may take only a few days if the individual has done long meditates regularly. The progress also depends upon the ability to drop ideas and concepts that we have developed ourselves or have acquired from others. There is lot of Unlearning!! involved at this stage
Handling the mind, tension, stress, worry, negativity, ego, enmity, apathy, anger, depression, etc, is just a trivial or insignificant matter, if the meditation is strong enough in letting go.
Enlightenment
This stage is the end of the spiritual journey when the individual realises the Self which has no form of any kind and starts living truly because the word “life”- stands for Living In For Ever. The individual attains the state of great bliss. Further, the individual has an awareness to which there is no break any time. The individual is completely free to do what he/she wants to do, but it will be worthwhile to elevate fellow human beings spiritually, so that others too can reach the state of bliss.
The Enlightenment is also same as Self Realisation/ Mukti /Nirvana / Liberation /God Realisation / Truth Realisation/ Stillness/ Live in Present / Live Forever/ Oneness with Ultimate Reality/True Living.
